This That Whatever – Lifestyle/Art

I am going to be taking a bit of a break from the blog. The reason being, one, I have had a slight problem with my computer, and need to get that back up and running smoothly, as it has been quite a burdon of late. Secondly, I have joined a gym (the first time in my life), which I am committed to following thru with for the next 6 months.

I am sure I could continue on as is with everything, but I would like to take a break anyway, ideally to get some creative juices flowing and switch things up and around a bit, coming back with renewed enthusiasm.

In case you were wondering, I have been blogging every day for nearly 3 years without a break. Thankfully, I have my blog to remind me of those years, cause seriously it has gone so fast I can’t quite believe it.

So on that note, here are two lovely pictures to gaze at and admire during this break. I will see you back here in July.

It would seem that Sydney’s property market went off with a bang in the last week before Easter, because can you believe this little house sold for $855k.

It does need a bit of a makeover don’t you think. If I was the new owner, this is what I would be thinking of doing. White gloss on the floors this time.

Front Room – I would change the room and put bi-folds in so that it can be opened up when not being used as a quiet study or guest room.

Sydney, please, get a grip. Can you seriously think this place is worth $975k!! Unbelievable. Totally.

Do you think if the below changes were made it would then be worth it then? Note that all the floors will be black glossy this time.

The front room would be a study/reading room

Dining Room – Add some vintage/antique furniture
Kitchen – Add a touch of grey to the walls.
Bedrooms – simple yet elegant

The back lounge to contain books and a tv looking out to the garden.
And making room for some outdoor fresco dining.

Here is another house that caught my attention with 2 bedrooms and a great floor plan.

Thankfully the front can stay the same, but again (can you guess it?) I would need to paint those floor boards. This time glossy white and I am thinking of the following images.

The bathroom would need some gold fixtures and a light glossy grey paint on the walls.

Yikes, for the kitchen/living, can you guess what I would do? Yes, first thing to go is the yellow wall, then I would need to paint those cabinets and the change the top.

Then for the dining/living this is what I am thinking.

Then for that depressing garden, so good elbow work, and it could look like this.
